Board of Directors
TE is operated by a highly experienced and diverse management team, with an exceptional track record in the oil and gas exploration and development, and in the energy sector at-large. Collectively, TE founders and members of its management team have extensive experience and elaborate networking in the Middle East and North Africa region.
The Board of Directors of TE consists of five members. The Board provides strategic and policy guidance, whereas the Chairman and the Chief Executive Officer of the Company both take charge of the day-to-day operations and report periodically to the Board.

Eng. Nazim C.E. Zouioueche

Eng. Nazim is an experienced manager and a highly specialized engineer in the oil and gas sector. Eng. Nazim is currently the Chairman of Medex petroleum, he also is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sonatrach and now he is a Board Member of TIMGAD Energy. He has held many leading positions in management and engineering in global and state-owned institutions.
He started off as a production engineer in Elf/Aquitains, and then he was promoted to a manager of a complete district that included seven major oil and gas fields in Algeria. After that he joined Sonatrach as the Director of Production, three years later he was promoted to Executive Vice President and Managing Director in-charge of the hydrocarbons division. He continued his upward trend in Sonatrach until he became the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Besides his on-the-field experience, Eng. Nazim was a member of the commission in-charge of preparing the new hydrocarbons law in Algeria, and he was also the Chairman of Mediterranean Observatory of Energy.
Eng. Nazim has a degree in civil engineering and reservoir engineering, and he is fluent in English, Arabic, French, and Italian.
Eng. Mohamed Tarek Roushdy

Eng. Roushdy is a highly experienced engineer, with a long and proficient experience in the hydrocarbon sector. He is currently the Managing Director of the Seaharvest Environmental & Oil services which is an oil field service company active in the representation and waste management services. Seaharvest has two branches in Egypt and Algeria and in the year 2006 its turn over reached around $20M USD. He is also a co-founder, CEO and Board Member of TIMGAD Energy.
Prior to incorporating Seaharvest, Eng. Roushdy built an extensive experience in the global oil and gas sector through the many jobs and managerial positions he assumed in multinational companies, for he was an area manager for MiSwaco the same company that was renamed and owned by 60/40 by Smith International & Schulmberger. He was in charge of Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco with same scope of responsibilities but on an area of a wider scale. Even before his work in MiSwaco, he was instrumental in the establishment of a joint venture that built M-I Algeria S.P.A a management system.
Eng. Roushdy has an extensive field experience for he was the drilling fluids sales engineer for M-I Drilling fluids. He held positions with M-I Drilling fluids and to name some, he was sales engineer, area engineer, and district manager.
Eng. Roushdy holds a bachelor degree in engineering and he is fluent in English, Arabic, and French.
Dr. Ahmed Bahgat

Dr. Bahgat is an experienced investment and development banker at the international level, with 25 years of a track record of achievements. He is the Chairman & Managing Director of both Benchmark Capital Corporation, S.A.E. (BCC), an investment banking firm based in Cairo, Egypt, and Canville Assets Management Corporation, an off-shore company incorporated in Geneva, Switzerland as a BVI company that manages a private equity fund focused on the energy sector. He is also a co-founder and Chairman of TIMGAD Energy.
Prior to BCC, Canville, and TIMGAD Energy, Dr. Bahgat held the position of Vice President of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) in charge of Finance and Planning from 1998 to 2004. As the Vice President he guided and directed the Bank evolving financial and risk management policy framework to preserve its financial strength, and to increase its effectiveness as a conduit for mobilizing financial resources from capital markets and through co-financing arrangements with other International Financial Institutions (IFIs). He developed and implemented a comprehensive framework of country credit risk, commercial credit risk, and market risks encompassing liquidity, interest rate and exchange rate risks. Within the realm of his responsibilities in the Bank, he supervised the management of three continent-wide sizable private equity funds sponsored by the AfDB. With the Bank as the lead arranger, Dr. Bahgat led in 1999 the negotiation of a syndicated loan facility for the then largest and first 2-train LNG project in Africa. He also served as a member of the Chief Financial Officers Committee of the 6 trans-national Multilateral Development Banks.
Dr. Bahgat was the founder of the Islamic Company for Packaging (ICOPACK) in the 6th of October Industrial City, in Egypt. The Company manufactures Biaxially-Oriented Polypropylene films used for all types of packing applications. He had also been an advisor to the Egyptian Minister of Cabinet Affairs and State Minister of Administrative Development responsible for the implementation of the privatization program of key sectors including the energy sector. Since 2005, Dr. Bahgat has been actively involved in top managerial as well as strategy consultancy capacities with several foreign oil and gas exploration and development companies in Egypt.
Dr. Bahgat holds a Ph.D. in Financial Management, an MS in Computer Science, and an MBA from Rutgers University. He is fluent in English, French, and Arabic.
Mr. Amr Mohamed El Marsafawy

Mr. El Marsafawy is a geologist, and he is currently the Chairman of Seaharvest Environmental and Oil Services, and a founder and a Board Member of TIMGAD Energy.
He has a long field experience, especially in Egypt as he worked with GUPCO for 12 years. His first experience on site was as a well-site geologist, where he was responsible for describing ditch samples, evaluating different types of rocks, updating well prognosis, and supervising mud logging and reports. He was then promoted to a log analyst, where he shared in logging programs for exploratory and development well, and log quality controls. He then became a petrphysist, where he conducted two field projects with an average of 42 wells each. His last stop with GUPCO was as a petrophisical section head.
After his long on-duty with GUPCO, he moved to a multinational company, Reed Tool Company, where he started as a district manager responsible for Egypt, Algeria, Syria, Tunisia, and Spain; then as a region manager, where his responsibilities were extended to encompass the North African and South/East European regions.
He has a B.S. in Geology and he is fluent in English, French, and Arabic.
Guglielmo Antonio Claudio MOSCATO

Moscato has more than forty seven years of experience since he graduated with a bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering from Politecnico di Milano 1961
in the petroleum industry, both domestically (Italy) and internationally.
He has proven track record of creating significant corporate value by acquiring new exploration permits and production licences all over the world.
As Agip Chief Executive and Eni Chairman, he negotiated and finalized the acquisition of the Karachaganak field and the Eni Caspian permits (including Kashagan) in Kazakhstan (Nov. 1997) as well as the Libyan gas development and export to Italy.
These initiatives have drastically increased shareholder’s value as well as the Eni reserves.
Moscato contributed to the Eni privatization process, participating in several successful road shows.
